According to My BFF’s managing director, Matt Gentile, “We are happy to support 412 Food Rescue as our sole philanthropic partner and donate 100% of the profits from this one-of-a-kind piece of art and sports history.” The iconic photo was described in Dan Rooney’s book, My 75 Years with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL.
“We are so thankful for everything that our community does to support 412 Food Rescue,” said Leah Lizarondo, CEO & Co-Founder, 412 Food Rescue. “Matt Gentile and his team at My BFF Social continue to develop innovate ways to support our mission and we are truly thankful for the effort.”
The “Brothers-in-Arms” painting was hand-painted by Pittsburgh native, Kait Schoeb. “The painting has added meaning after what happened in Cleveland. “It reminds me of 412 Food Rescue’s mission and how we all need to support each other when times get tough. I believe Steeler’s fans will appreciate the sentiment,” added Gentile.
“The #HuddleforHunger campaign is a wonderful opportunity for our two cities to compete in a way that benefits everyone and I look forward to game day,” said Lizarondo.
